Compare five VPN providers
Country, platforms, free plan, money-back window, and how many devices can connect at once. Each cell is a fact the provider publishes. There is no score and no winner.

How to read the odd cells
- NordVPN's support pages say the service operates under Panama. They also say the parent company, Nord Security, is in the Netherlands.
- ExpressVPN's support page lists 10 devices on Basic, 12 on Advanced, and 14 on Pro.
- CyberGhost's refund policy is 45 days for a subscription of 6 months or longer, and 14 days for a 1-month subscription.
- Proton VPN's free plan connects 1 device. The paid plans connect 10. The 30-day refund applies to paid subscriptions.
- A money-back window usually covers a first purchase on the provider's own site. Apple App Store and Google Play purchases often follow that store's rules. A short trial, where a company offers one, is not listed here as a free plan.
